Parents are an important part of a child’s education as they lead by example and offer support and encouragement to their children. Holy Cross School strives to create an environment of communication and co-operation between parents and teachers in order to assist all students to achieve their potential.
To help achieve this goal of open communication, there are two parent-teacher conferences scheduled each year along with three written reports that track each child’s academic performance. Parents are also encouraged to contact their child’s or children’s teachers if there concerns that arise during the year.
Also, through the use of school agendas, as well as the homework website, School Notes, parents are encouraged and easily able to follow what their child or children are working on in their respective classes, and communicate with teachers.
Holy Cross School is fortunate to have a very strong and active
Parent Advisory Council (PAC). The Holy Cross School Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is made
up of volunteer parents and other members of the community who wish
to offer their time and share their talents to help improve the
School. Any parent and member of the community can become a
member of the Holy Cross School Parent Advisory Council (PAC), and are encouraged
to do so. The Parent Advisory Council (PAC) meets monthly and any interested
parents are invited and welcomed to attend these meetings.

The Holy Cross School Parent Advisory Council (PAC) organizes many activities and fundraising events throughout the school year. All funds that are raised are put back into the school by purchasing sports equipment, funding the Grade 8 Farewell, supporting our library and providing Resource materials.
